Slide Presentations

Anacostia Watershed Society educators will visit to your school, community group or place of business and provide an educational media presentation. Our slide show discusses the Anacostia watershed in detail; a knowledgeable AWS staff member explains how sediment, stormwater runoff, toxins and trash all negatively impact the quality of the river as well as the quality of life for adjacent communities. Furthermore, we educate people regarding the actions that can be taken to reverse the degradation.

The slide show is about one hour long and can be tailored to meet the needs of your group.  Presentations are given by trained staff members of the Society and can focus on cetain topics, such as environmental justice issues, river ecology, and restoration events that we provide to the community.
