Description: Come hear the latest updates on what the District and its partners are doing to address contamination in the Anacostia River. In March 2016, the Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) released the Anacostia River Sediment Project Draft Phase One Remedial Investigation Report, representing a significant milestone in the District’s efforts to address contamination in the Anacostia River. The goal of the remedial investigation is to confirm the extent and location of contamination in the river, and to evaluate potential risks contaminants pose to human health and the environment. The Draft Phase One Remedial Investigation Report is available for public review and comment through May 2.
