ANACOSTIA RIVER VIRTUAL BIOBLITZ

Date: Thursday, September 21 to Sunday, September 24, 2017.
Time: All Day Long!
Description: The purpose of this event is to document the biodiversity of the Anacostia River and its watershed. Especially in the ecosystems along the main stem of the river and surrounding areas on the MD and DC portions of the river.

It will be an iNaturalist (https://www.inaturalist.org/) app-based weekend-long event where people will be able to report observations on their own using the app from anywhere in the watershed.

All observations should be made part of the Biodiversity of the Anacostia River project on iNaturalist: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/biodiversity-of-the-anacostia-river

The Anacostia Watershed Society is leading a series of nature forays and tours to see somof the more pristine, inaccessible areas for the BioBlitz:
