Activity Description: Explore the natural wonders of birds that live in your Anacostia community along the Dueling Creek Tributary! Join your neighbors along with staff from the National Zoo’s Neighborhood Nestwatch program to view Anacostia’s birds being captured, banded, and released. Play interactive games that help us learn about the amazing lives our feathered friends lead. Go on a birdwatching walk and try to identify as many birds using donated quick-reference identity cards. Lots of fun in the great outdoors for all ages! This event is free of charge.
