What to expect:
Be prepared to get dirty and have fun! Our cleanup events always involve an educational component -- site leaders will talk about the river and its watershed. Site leaders will also brief you on basic safety measures to ensure that everyone has a safe, fun time. All tools and supplies needed will be provided -- no need to bring your own gloves unless you have a favorite pair.
What to bring:
1. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are a must.
2. A water bottle -- water will be available but we'd prefer not to use so many paper cups!
3. A small snack, if need be.
4. Your waiver -- if you register as an individual, you can print that registration, bring it with you, and turn it in so you don't have to sign-in at the event. If you register as a group or forget your waiver, you will be expected to sign-in on the day of.
Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather (rain or shine!) and wear clothes you won't mind getting dirty.
Who to contact:
Once you have registered, please only contact your site leader with site specific questions or concerns about location and directions. We encourage you to have your site leader's phone number handy on the day of the event in case you need assistance finding your site that morning.
