Be a Hero of the Anacostia River!

Volunteer with the Anacostia Watershed Society in the area's premiere annual Earth Day Cleanup. Join over 2,000 AWS volunteers cleaning up our neighborhoods, parks, streams, and the Anacostia River.

Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Location: Thirty-one sites around the Anacostia Watershed in Washington DC, and Montgomery and Prince George's Counties in Maryland.

Let AWS celebrate the Heroes of the Anacostia River! Our heroes deserve it after working hard all morning. The celebration will include live music from Rise Band & Show, motown, R&B, and classics; plus a complimentary lunch, local exhibitors, and notable speakers. All volunteers are invited!
Important - Your Earth Day shirt is your parking pass! There is another event at RFK that day, but AWS volunteers park for free with their Earth Day shirt. At least one person in the car should have their shirt to use the free parking!
