Anacostia Tributary Trail System

If you are looking to hit the trails, the Anacostia Tributary Trail System is a great resource. It is comprised of a network of paved trails around the tributaries of the Anacostia River. Part of the American Discovery Trail, it is mainly located in Prince George’s County, with parts entering Montgomery County. The trail system provides an escape from suburban and city life, into diverse natural environment. Explore the trails to find miles of biking, walking, and jogging. View the updated trail guide for trail specifics and future plans.

DC is currently working to build a trail north to meet up with the Anacostia River Trail shown in orange at the bottom of the map. This would link most suburban areas in the DC area by bike path.
