Recreational Paddling

The Anacostia Watershed Society has partnered with the Anacostia Community Boathouse to provide recreational boating opportunities for the public.

Paddling Nights

Check out our newly introduced paddling nights!  Paddle nights take place bi-weekly throught the summer and early fall.  This is a free event that we are offering in hopes that we will reconnect the community with the natural and recreational opportunities the Anacostia River has to offer!

The bi-weekly event invites those interested to take out a kayak or canoe that AWS provides between 5pm-8pm on Wednesday evenings.  Staff will be onsite to assist attendees and provide dinner on our grill!  Find the next paddling night and RSVP on our calendar of events.

Paddle Nights are a great way to experience
the outdoors and socialize with friends!

Boat Storage

Currently AWS offers the rentable storage space for canoes and kayaks as available.  To inquire about a space for your boat contact our Recreation Manager Eric Sibley at esibley@anacostiaws.org

Donations
