Water Quality Flagging

From 2002 to 2005, AWS tested water in the Anacostia River and the Potomac River on a weekly basis for the presence of potentially harmful bacteria. According to test results, water quality flags were raised at four flagging stations inside the Anacostia Watershed indicating whether or not river conditions met safe boating standards.
