The Anacostia Watershed Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit environmental organization. Its mission is to protect and restore the Anacostia River and its watershed communities by cleaning the water, recovering the shores and honoring the heritage. Our ultimate goal is to make the Anacostia River swimmable and fishable in keeping with the Clean Water Act. Our core programs include: advocacy, education, and stewardship.

Manager of Community-Based Restoration (Full Time)

AWS is seeking a Manager of Community-Based Restoration to inspire and inform diverse communities about the Anacostia Watershed, and develop and implement innovative strategies to restore the Anacostia River and to engage diverse communities in the restoration of the Anacostia River.   The Manager of Community-Based Restoration works directly with the Director of River Restoration Programs and manages a team of four to ensure integration among all AWS initiatives.
