Education:
B.A. in Environmental Studies from New York University M.Sc in Environmental Economics from University of London, SOAS

Bekah is responsible for developing and mobilizing a sustainable fundraising strategy for AWS, partnering with local community members, businesses, foundations and governments to  identify opportunities for them to become financial contributors to the success of our programs. She is also responsible for ensuring the communications and events of AWS continue to tell the amazing story of our work and mobilize the public to get involved in the Anacostia River as we set our sights beyond 2025. 

Prior to joining AWS in 2023, Bekah worked at World Resources Institute, and international environmental research organization based in D.C., where she led fundraising for their global climate and economics programs. 

Bekah hails from Spokane, WA - though after nine years in the DMV considers this well and truly home. As a resident of the Anacostia watershed and an aspiring Master Naturalist, she is deeply passionate about conserving this incredible natural resource for all DC residents, now and for generations to come
