Charlie Davies

Chesapeake Youth Corps Intern
Charlie Davies

Charlie is a Chesapeake Climate and Conservation Corps Member who will be working with AWS until August of 2024. He assists the education team with programming in the classroom and in the field, prepares activity materials, and looks after AWS's resident freshwater mussels.

Growing up in Maryland, Charlie's childhood experiences in the woods, creeks, rivers, and marshes of the Chesapeake Bay watershed instilled in him a deep-rooted love of nature. While his background is in the arts and humanities, reflecting on these formative experiences in nature and outdoor programming eventually led him to change career paths after graduating college. He's been working in environmental education since 2022, and enjoys helping students and community members create meaningful connections with the natural world. During his time with AWS, Charlie is excited to bring together his love of storytelling, visual art, and nature to engage students in learning about the Anacostia watershed.

Education: Parsons School of Design, Bachelors of Fine Art in Photography
