Kendra comes to AWS with a passion for connecting people of all ages to the natural world and bridging the gap between science and public audiences.
Kendra is responsible for leading and developing AWS’s school-based programs for area youth; providing meaningful watershed experiences for participants of all ages through boat tours, hikes, and community events; and assisting with river restoration projects.
Kendra has developed her skills in environmental education through positions with various outdoor camps, The Army Corps of Engineers RayCEP program as a conservation educator, and Howard County Recreation and Parks (Robinson Nature Center) as an environmental educator. In her free time, Kendra can be found enjoying the great outdoors or involved in an abundance of art projects.
Kendra is thrilled to be part of the AWS team and to swim in the Anacostia in 2025!
