Kendra comes to AWS with a passion for connecting people of all ages to the natural world and bridging the gap between scientific circles and public audiences.
Kendra is responsible for leading and developing AWS’s school-based programs for area youth, facilitating the AWS Master Naturalist program, and managing the Mussel Power education program. She also assists with river restoration projects and provides meaningful watershed experiences for participants of all ages through boat tours, hikes, and community events.
Kendra developed her skills in environmental education through positions with various outdoor camps, The Army Corps of Engineers RayCEP program, and Robinson Nature Center. In her free time, Kendra can be found enjoying the great outdoors or immersed in art projects.
Kendra is thrilled to be part of the AWS team and to swim in the Anacostia in 2025!
