Lindsay Allen

Lindsay was born and raised in Prince George’s County and is passionate about connecting people with the natural world in ways that are reciprocal and beneficial for all beings, both human and non-human alike. She has a Bachelor's degree in American Studies, a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology, has lived abroad, and is a swim instructor, all of which have shaped her interest in environmental work and stewardship.

Lindsay is responsible for coordinating AWS’ annual Earth Day Cleanup as well as the Watershed Stewards Academy. Her work also focuses on holistically engaging communities in the watershed so that their needs are heard and respected in alignment with AWS’ work to protect and restore the Anacostia River. 

In her free time, Lindsay enjoys reading, swimming, spending time with her friends and family, and going for sunset walks.

Education: Bachelor's degree in American Studies, a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology
