Maddy Padgett

Maddy grew up in Northern Virginia and graduated with a B.S. in Global Conservation at George Mason University, where they studied bird populations abroad in the Peruvian Amazon. Their love for animal welfare led them to a career running their own farrier business, working with horses. They are a naturally adept person for hands-on work and projects, whether with horses, cars as a mechanic’s assistant, or self-taught woodworking projects. After 7 years of working with animals, cars, and wood, Maddy returned to their love of the environment. At AWS, Maddy can bridge the gap between working towards a mission to restore the environment and working extremely hands-on to ensure quality care for all facilities and equipment.
