  The 11th Street Bridge Park will be a model of environmental sustainability while inspiring the next generation of river stewards. Listen to the Anacostia Watershed Society’s Chris Williams and Ariel Trahan describe the Anacostia Watershed Center, a state-of-the-art center for education and experiential learning, community engagement, study and research anchoring the east end of the park and landscape architect Hallie Boyce from OLIN describe how the park will capture stormwater for irrigation, create new bio-habitats and plant over 150 new native trees. Moderated by Richard Trent, Friends of Anacostia Park.

During this event, the planning team will share strategies for improving water quality, wildlife habitat, equitable access, and public amenities. You will have the opportunity to provide feedback to refine an approach toward a final restoration master plan framework. We are excited to share more information about the restoration plan and hear your feedback!
