  It's WELLerness day at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, and you and meet the Anacostia River's freshwater mussels for Mussel May. We are inviting all residents of the Anacostia Watershed to come on out to the urban paradise that is Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens to get up close and personal with these filtering marvels! The Anacostia Watershed Society's Mussel Power program has been steadily restoring river's mussels to healthier levels, and this is your chance to come and learn more! You can see a live filtering demonstration and learn more about these fascinating critters from AWS staff.
