Mussel May - Watershed Wednesday Happy Hour!

We're just wild about the Anacostia River's freshwater mussels! As the finale to Mussel May, join us for an in-person happy hour, sip some quality Streetcar 82 Brewing Co. beer and learn about the fascinating world of freshwater mussels from a Smithsonian mussel scientist.

John Pfeiffer is the Curator of Bivalves at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and an international mussel expert. In this presentation, you will learn about the unique natural history of freshwater mussels and their species diversity here in the US and the world. 

Streetcar 82 is a fabulous brewery serving a wide variety of beers and hard ciders. There is no kitchen, but occasionally there is a food truck and Pizza Paradiso is a 3 min walk away.
