Anacostia River Boat Tour from Bladensburg Waterfront Park

Note: This event is weather dependent
Come to the River!
Explore the Anacostia River while riding in one of our open-air boats as part of the Anacostia River Explorers program. Anacostia Watershed Society staff will take participants on a one or two hour tour of the river while discussing natural and cultural history along with restoration efforts. You will experience the joy of being out on the water while observing this beautiful local area.
Please note that for these events we invite groups of four or fewer. If you are interested in bringing a larger group please email [email protected] for more information.
There are a limited number of spaces of this trip and registration is required. The Anacostia Watershed Society is following all current COVID guidelines in regards to group events. See the registration link for more details. You must complete a registration for every person who plans to attend, including children or family members. If you register, please let us know ASAP if you're no longer able to attend so other community members can attend.
If you have any physical limitations or differences please let us know so we can discuss potential accommodations.
What to bring:
- Reusable water bottle filled with water
- Sunscreen is recommended
- Hat and Sunglasses
We have changed our waitlist system! This summer we are trying out making the seats of last-minute cancellations available to the public via a rush seat system. Click here to sign up for a special "rush seating" email list for our boat tours. When you join this list, on Thursdays at 4pm you will receive an email from us letting you know the number of available seats on the tour that evening. If you can make it to the launch location in time for the tour, you can join the trip on a first-come, first-serve basis at the discretion of the boat tour captain.
