7th Anacostia River Bioblitz - Hike at Kenilworth Park

Location: Kenilworth Park, 4000 Deane Avenue NE, Washington, DC 20019. We will meet in the southern part of Kenilworth Park on Deane Ave: https://www.anacostiaws.org/location/5-kenilworth-park.html

Description:  Join the Anacostia Watershed Society for our 7th Anacostia Rive Bioblitz! We will hike north from Kenilworth Park to see meadows, riparian forests, tidal marshland and the Anacostia River! Bring biodiversity field guides and waterproof shoes or rubber boots especially if you would like a closer look at the aquatic ecosystems. It will be a walk of approximately 1 mile roundtrip which may include muddy sections. 

Physical Level of Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult

• This event will involve hiking through hilly and muddy terrain, lifting, and bending. Participants will be expected to wear closed-toed shoes and facemasks for the duration of the event. If you think any of the physical requirements will be problematic, please let us know.
