8th Anacostia River Bioblitz - Saturday Public Bioblitz Event

The Anacostia River Bioblitz is a weekend-long event from Thursday to Sunday where you can make your own observations using the iNaturalist app, at your own pace, from anywhere within the Anacostia River Watershed.

On Saturday, September 7th, Join the Anacostia Watershed Society and our partners at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens for a day of observing and learning about nature together! This is a great opportunity to learn about the identification and ecology of some of the river's fascinating species from the experts.

There will be nature exhibits and fun activities for the whole family including nature walks and pond critter sampling:

-Plants: by Bradley Simpson, Nature Forward.-Bugwalk: by Deborah Barber, The Nature Conservancy-Naturalist walk: by naturalist-extraordinaire Jenny Glenn.-Bird watching: by Lynette Fullerton, PG County Audubon Society
