Anacostia River Discovery Series Boat Tour from Kingman Island

Note: All tours are weather dependent. We will proceed in light rain, but may need to cancel if there is heavy rain, lightning, or strong wind in the forecast. If you are sick or exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19 (such as fever, chills, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, etc.), please do not come to the event and consider joining us another time.

Join the Anacostia Watershed Society for a 1-hour boat tour (6-7 PM) launching from Kingman Island's dock on the Anacostia River, as part of our Anacostia River Discovery Series, to explore the ecological and historical changes that have occurred in the river and in the communities around the river. We will have the opportunity to witness some of the restoration of river habitats and how it has caused the rebound of the wildlife in the Anacostia River.
