Grace is part of our River Restoration Team at AWS and has a great passion for learning and teaching others on all aspects of the river. She is very passionate about our mission at AWS. Most days, you will find her out in the field, collecting data or completing surveys on freshwater mussels, freshwater sponges, water quality parameters, vernal pool habitats, wild rice, and trees that were planted by AWS. She is thrilled to be able to share her passion with others in River Restoration, Education, or Volunteer program events.

Before joining AWS, Grace worked at two mussel hatcheries propagating and culturing 15+ mussel species, most of which were Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN). She is very excited to share her mussel knowledge.

Education: B.S. Environmental Science and Sustainability from Allegheny College, Meadville, PA with a focus on freshwater ecology.
