Description: Join the Anacostia Watershed Society and the Phillips Collection for a boat tour of the Anacostia River in collaboration with pioneering DC Artist, Rik Freeman as he shares about his exhibition, Wade in the Waters. Rik will present on-land before we embark on the boat to explore the ecological and historical changes that have occurred in the river and in the communities around the river. We will have the opportunity to witness some of the restoration of river habitats and how it has caused the rebound of the wildlife in the Anacostia River.
Meeting Location: Anacostia Park, 1500 Anacostia Drive, Washington, DC 20020. We will gather at the boat ramp by the Skating Pavilion in Anacostia Park.
What to Wear/Bring: We recommend wearing sunscreen, a hat, sturdy footwear and bringing water.

- All tours are weather dependent. We will proceed in light rain, but may need to cancel if there is heavy rain, lightning, or strong wind in the forecast.
