Adult Education
The Anacostia Watershed Society aims to empower a legion of watershed residents to be educated stewards of the Anacostia River. By offering opportunities for adults to engage more fully with their local environment, they learn the intracacies of the ecosystems that make up a healthy river habitat.
Anacostia Watershed Society adult education programs include both classroom and field-based classes. Service learning is big component, and in their course of study, participants are engaged in restoration projects that benefit the Anacostia River.
