Fall 2021 Semester Schedule

Theme: "Healthy River, Healthy You!"

Right about now seems like the perfect time to explore environmental and human health connections. COVID-19 has caused tremendous upheaval to all of us, though, some much more than others. Yet, we’re letting it be the inspiration of our “Healthy River, Healthy You!” academic year theme. This year, we will head outside to various sites in the Anacostia watershed to investigate topics and issues that affect the health of our river and us as humans. We will also dive deeper than SEA ever has into activities that focus on overall well-being. Get ready to paddle, walk, hike, garden, practice yoga, try tai chi, and do a little art therapy. SEA couldn’t be more excited for this year’s theme and activities! We hope you are too!

Get your body moving on dragon and outrigger boats on the Anacostia River! The National Capital Area Women's Paddling Association will lead us in this healthy activity that we can only really enjoy if our Anacostia River is healthy too! Along with our boating activities, we’ll explore environmental health topics that connect our actions to the health of our river and watershed.
